Isn’t our God AMAZING!! He knows everything about us, all the good the bad and even the ugly. He knows when we are happy and when we are sad, when we are hurting and when we are just about to break. Sometimes those hardest times in our lives are when God chooses to show us just how powerful he is! Let me tell you about a moment in my life recently that God showed up in a powerful way. My husband lost his job, that has supported us since we got together, back in January. After looking day after day for a new job, nothing ever came. Our funds were getting short and I began to worry. Yes, I said it… I let the devil in and I began to worry. Three and a half months later, he finally got a job at a local grocery store but the pay is nowhere near what he was making. Yes, we can survive off of it but now we are having to pay back loans that got us through till now. Funds are tight and we are still struggling but we are surviving. My daughter and I and a close family member of mine went to Walmart to get groceries the other day. I had a set amount to spend so while we were waiting in line at the register I was trying to add up everything in my head to make sure we didn’t go over. In the middle of counting in my head, a lady stopped me & my daughter and started talking to us. She told my daughter she was impressed with how well behaved she was and what a great helper she was being to her Mommy. She then told her to keep being a good girl cause you never know who’s watching & then handed her $2! I thought that was the sweetest thing ever, but this lady wasn’t done helping! She then helped me unload all our groceries onto the checkout line. As I was loading the groceries back into the cart, she slipped her debit card into the machine to pay for all my groceries!!!!! I was in SHOCK and didn’t know what to say or do!! At first, I said NO you can’t do that!!! She was determined though, and then I found out WHY?! She told us GOD put it in her heart to help us so she was happy to do it. I, of course, began to cry and told her she had NO idea how much that meant to me and my family. So I say it again, Isn’t God AMAZING?!? He knew my little families need and showed up right on time. I know he will do the same for you too if you are apart of his family.

Our daughter shared this with us as quickly as she could get to her car and on her phone (she doesn’t hold it while talking). It never ceases to amaze me how our faithful God will always keep His promises. It’s not the fact that He keeps His promises. God cannot lie (Titus 1:2), but the ways in which He answers our prayers remind me of what He says in Isaiah 55:8-11, how that His ways and His thoughts are so much higher than ours, and that His Word will accomplish that in which He purposes it to, that it will not return void. We serve an awesome God, and our children have seen His hand in our family, in how He has always provided, even when it looked as if there was nowhere to turn. I praise His high and holy Name for again showing our daughter, and those around her at the time, what an awesome God we serve. I am also so proud as a dad and a man of God that our daughter felt compelled to share this great miracle with the world. Love you Pumpkie.
