“Life’s Storms”
“In the eye of the storm, You remain in control. In the middle of the war, You guard my soul. You alone are the anchor, When my sails are torn. Your love surrounds me, In the eye of the storm.”
First of all, I want to personally apologize for not writing or posting anything for a couple weeks. My family has been through a “storm” recently but here we are! We are all back and will hopefully be posting weekly now. Sadly, while my Mom and Dad were gone to church about 3 weeks ago, someone broke into their house and stole my Mom’s NEW laptop, and tablet as well as my Dad’s NEW headset we just got him to use so he could record himself preaching for the website. We don’t know who did it, but we do know it was just the devil at work. Since then I have honestly not known what to write about on here or what part of my life to share with you next. I have thought about it really hard the past 2 days, and yesterday God gave me my answer. While visiting my parents yesterday, I turned on my Pandora app to play some music while I helped Dad clean the kitchen. The first song that came on was “Eye of The Storm” by Ryan Stevenson. As soon as it began playing and I listened to the words, I said…. “That’s it! That’s what I can write about”.
EVERYONE on Earth has faced some sort of “storm” in their life. Some face more than others, but we have all had struggles at some point. Maybe it’s an illness, an accident, a death, a financial struggle, a pregnancy issue, a break in or theft of your home/business. The list really does go on and on and on! I surely don’t understand why these things happen, but I do believe that sometimes God allows us to face these “storms” to draw us closer to him. Think about that for a minute, when do you seek God the most? Sadly, when life is going great we don’t even think to call on God then. It’s usually in those darkest moments that we call on him to guide us, to comfort us, to protect us, to LOVE us. We are all guilty of it, or at least I know I sure am. God is an AWESOME God and he wants to SEEK him always! So don’t wait for the next storm in your life, SEEK him NOW! If you are in a “storm” right now, then please listen to this song. It really touched my heart and I hope it will do the same for you. Also, if you would like me or my family to pray for you, please contact any of us and we will be happy to add you to our prayer list. I know I am always in need of prayer, so please add me to your prayer list too.
